Jagged City

**Jagged City** is the post-rock trio born from the creative sparks between guitarist Jake Woodruff (of Defeater, Dreamtigers, and Aisha Burns), Carlos Torres (former touring member of Explosions in the Sky and Cross Control), and drummer Urian Hackney. They kicked off around the pandemic era, trading messy demos across cities to craft their raw, instrumental sound that blends enchanting melodies with explosive swells, all wrapped in a punk-edged intensity.

Their debut EP, **There Are More Of Us, Always**, dropped January 30, 2025, via Pelagic Records, featuring tracks like **Imaginary Lines**, **Ocean East, Ocean West**, and **Rain and Sirens**—inspired by Hanif Abdurraqib’s book to celebrate connection over isolation. With guest spots from Takaakira Goto and Michael James, plus killer mixing and mastering, it’s a heartfelt call to collaborative creativity that fans of Mogwai, Godspeed, or Mono will dig.
