Sea Pinks

Sea Pinks is an indie pop band with a distinctive sound that blends a post-punk-inflected pop sensibility with dreamy melodies and vibrant jangle-pop aesthetics. The group emerged from Belfast, Northern Ireland, originally starting as a solo project of Neil Brogan, who was also known for his work with the band Girls Names, in late 2009. The initial one-man endeavor quickly expanded into a full band with the addition of Steven Henry on bass and Davey Agnew on drums, creating a more robust and dynamic sound.

Over the years, Sea Pinks' sound has matured and deepened, drawing on various influences while forging a unique identity that stands out in the indie music scene. Their discography showcases an evolution through melodic hooks and introspective lyrics, reflected in recent releases like the textural depth of "Crocuses EP" and the introspective "Armeria Maritima." Noteworthy singles such as "Watermelon Sugar (Alcohol)" and "Run & Run" highlight the band's ability to craft catchy and thoughtful songs. With a work ethic that has produced a steady stream of albums and EPs, including "Watercourse," "Soft Days," and "Depth of Field," Sea Pinks has built a loyal following and continues to enchant listeners with their evocative and nostalgic soundscapes.
