Rancid is a punk rock band that formed in Berkeley, California in 1991. The band consists of Tim Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Matt Freeman (bass, vocals), Lars Frederiksen (guitar, vocals), and Branden Steineckert (drums). Rancid has released nine studio albums, two live albums, and numerous singles and EPs. The band's music is characterized by its fast tempo, catchy melodies, and political lyrics. Rancid has toured extensively throughout the world and has headlined several major music festivals. The band has also been nominated for several Grammy Awards.
