Kaan Bulak

Kaan Bulak is a German-Turkish composer, pianist, and sound artist known for blending acoustic and electronic music while bridging eastern and western musical influences. Born in Aachen in 1991 and raised in Istanbul, he began piano lessons at age five and later studied sound production and electroacoustic composition in Berlin. His work often dissolves the boundaries between acoustic instruments and electronics, showcased through his custom-developed 360° radial loudspeakers, bringing an immersive experience to listeners. Bulak’s music has been performed at prestigious venues such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Zürich Opera House, and Philharmonie Berlin, and he collaborates regularly with a diverse range of artists worldwide.

His compositions include albums like *Fructus Eius*, *No Clouds in Haraz*, and *Illusions*, reflecting a sophisticated, cross-cultural sound world that merges natural inspirations and technological innovation. Bulak also founded the audiovisual label and studio Feral Note, where he curates experimental music projects and multi-sensory events, emphasizing sound’s power to express life and emotion beyond language.
