Micah Frank is an American electronic sound artist known for his use of algorithmic, generative, and stochastic methods in creating sound sculptures. His work often incorporates field recordings and real-time synthesis techniques. Frank has been active on the international music scene for over 20 years, performing both as a solo artist and as a member of the Larum Ensemble, which he co-founded. In addition to his artistic endeavors, Frank is the owner and creative director of Puremagnetik, a company that publishes music technology and artist releases. His recent collaborations include working with woodwind artist Chet Doxas on projects like "The Music of Hildegard von Bingen Part One," which explores early music and features vibrant soundscapes blended from electronic and organic elements.
