Roy Budd
Roy Budd was a British composer and jazz pianist best known for his work on film scores, particularly in the 1970s. Born in 1947, Budd was something of a musical prodigy, showing an early talent for piano and jazz. He gained recognition for his stylish and sophisticated film compositions, often blending jazz, orchestral, and funk influences. His most famous work is the score for the crime thriller *Get Carter* (1971), which remains an iconic piece of British film music. Over his career, he composed music for a variety of films, including *The Wild Geese*, *Fear Is the Key*, and *The Black Windmill*. Though he passed away in 1993, Budd's music continues to be celebrated for its distinctive, atmospheric quality.
