**Vulgar Savior** is a Taiwanese alternative rock band that kicked off in late 2020, bringing together bassist Joe Lo (羅晧宇), guitarist Ray Chen (陳千煒, aka 阿雷), powerhouse vocalist Claire Song (宋家耘, aka Üne or 家耘), and drummer Samuel Chen (陳允祈). Drawing from K-indie roots with killer blends of rock, R&B, funk, psych, and city pop, their tunes dive into the messy feels of city life—think melancholy vibes, bursts of joy, helpless frustration, and raw anger—all wrapped in groovy basslines, dynamic beats, and Claire's soaring vocals.
They hit the ground running with their debut album *The Vulgar Weekly: Countdown to the End of the World* (末日倒數的庸俗週記) in late 2021, followed by the EP *Great Day* (得意的一天) in 2023, digital singles like "一口一口" and "困在你的雨季," and their sophomore album *Little Battle* in April 2025, which sparked a tour hitting festivals in Korea, Japan, and Shanghai. With sold-out shows like The Wall in 2022 and a philosophy of owning life's mundane struggles to become your own savior, these optimistic tragedians keep rocking stages and playlists, singing heartbreak with a cheeky grin.
