Wicked Dub Division

Wicked Dub Division is an Italian dub band that was formed in 2005, originating from an idea by GP Ennas on drums and King Claudio on bass. Initially, they produced vinyl singles for the sound systems scene before releasing their first album, *Wadada*, in 2011. The band's sound evolved significantly with the addition of Michela Grena as vocalist and Massimiliano Peak handling the dub live set in 2014. This collaboration paved the way for a distinctive blend of hypnotic sounds and powerful beats, leading to albums like *Dub Drops* (2015) and *Red* (2016). Wicked Dub Division has also collaborated with the North East Ska Jazz Orchestra, resulting in notable releases such as *Mama* and the *Live Studio Session #1* in 2021.

In recent years, Wicked Dub Division has continued to create and perform music, including releases like *Deepest* and contributions to collaborative projects. Their live performances are marked by a fusion of dub's heavy, psychedelic steps with the dynamic energy of a big band. They have played at numerous festivals, including Rototom Sunsplash, showcasing their unique sound to a global audience. The band's music often explores themes of social justice, as seen in songs like *New Slavery* and *Not in My Name*, demonstrating their commitment to using music as a platform for expression and change.
