Miami University Steel Band

The Miami University Steel Band, founded in 1994 by Dr. Chris Tanner, has established itself as a renowned ensemble in the steel band genre. The band has released several professional recordings, including "Burnin'," "One More Soca," "Simple Pleasures," and "Three Wishes," showcasing their commitment to quality music.

The Miami University Steel Band has achieved national recognition through appearances at prestigious events like the Percussive Arts Society International Convention and headlining the Virginia Arts Festival's PANorama Music Festival. Dr. Tanner, a prolific composer and educator, has been instrumental in shaping the band's success.
