Burly Girlies

Burly Girlies is a feminist punk band from Vermont, formed in 2021 by friends Morgan Vespa and Murphy. Their music channels their experiences as queer small-town weirdos asserting themselves against 21st-century patriarchy, combining vulnerable and fun punk rock energy. Starting out as a duo, they later added drummer Emmett and lead guitarist Spencer, who brought her metal scene chops to shape their sound. Known for raw, passionate performances filled with humor and heart, Burly Girlies also organize Femme Fest, a biannual show spotlighting femme-fronted bands and creating a safe, inclusive space for queer and femme artists. Their recent releases include the *Puss* EP (2025) and singles like "Pics?" and "Whore for Horror".
