Cancer Bats

Cancer Bats are a Canadian hardcore punk band formed in 2004 in Toronto, Ontario. Known for their explosive blend of punk rock, hardcore, and sludge metal, the band has carved out a distinct niche in the heavy music scene. Comprising of vocalist Liam Cormier, guitarist Scott Middleton, drummer Mike Peters, and bassist Jaye R. Schwarzer, Cancer Bats have consistently pushed the boundaries of their genre, both musically and in their visceral live performances.

Over the years, the band has garnered a reputation for their relentless touring schedule and a fierce DIY ethic. They've released a number of acclaimed albums that have solidified their standing within the punk and metal communities. With tracks from their recent releases like "Weird Punx" and "Psychic Jailbreak," along with unique endeavors like "Bat Sabbath // Masters of Duality," which pays homage to the legendary Black Sabbath, Cancer Bats have continued to evolve without losing the gritty edge that has won them a dedicated fan base. Their "Separation Sessions" volumes 1 and 2 show a band unafraid to experiment and reframe their work, whilst "Hail the Acoustic Destroyer" demonstrates their ability to collaborate and meld genres. Notorious for their raucous shows and the rowdy energy they bring, the Cancer Bats remain a dominant force in the world of hardcore punk.
