Glanville-Hicks was known for her innovative and experimental compositions, which often incorporated elements of folk music and other non-Western influences. She also wrote several operas, including "The Transposed Heads," which premiered in 1954. Glanville-Hicks died in New York City in 1990, but her music continues to be performed and enjoyed by audiences around the world.
