Known affectionately as "Mr. Rock'n Roll," Shuman gained national recognition after appearing in Henny Huisman's Soundmixshow, where he performed as Elvis Presley, singing "Are you lonesome tonight" and "Don’t be cruel." This exposure led to a record deal with Sony/CBS, and he released his debut album "René Shuman" in 1986. Over the years, Shuman has worked with notable artists such as Milton Nascimento, Guilherme Arantes, Laura Fygi, Nancy Boyd, and Phil Everly. He has also performed with James Last and members of Elvis Presley's original band. Shuman's music style blends rock 'n' roll with country influences.
Shuman's discography includes several albums, such as "The Main Language," "Mission of the Heart," and "Set the Clock on Rock."
