PASSEPIED

PASSEPIED is a Japanese rock/pop band that has carved a niche for themselves in the world of contemporary music with their signature blend of intricate rhythms, complex arrangements, and a fresh take that fuses classical influences with a modern pop sensibility. Formed in 2009 by keyboardist Narita Haneda—a graduate of the Tokyo University of the Arts—as the primary composer, PASSEPIED quickly established themselves as a group with avant-garde artistry and accessible pop appeal. The band's name itself, derived from a type of French baroque dance called "passepied," reflects their eclectic and rhythmic style that is as entrancing as it is dynamic.

Alongside are guitarist Masahiro Misawa, bassist Yoshikuni Tsuyuzaki, and drummer Takuya Yao, each contributing to the diverse and layered sound PASSEPIED is known for.
