Alec Dankworth is a British jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger. He is the son of jazz musicians John Dankworth and Cleo Laine. Dankworth began playing the saxophone at the age of 14 and studied at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed with a wide range of artists, including his parents, George Shearing, and the BBC Big Band. Dankworth has also composed and arranged music for film and television. His most recent releases include "JadyAdie," "Spanish Accents," and "If You're Passing By."
