Piotr Steczek Kwartet

Piotr Steczek Kwartet is a contemporary chamber ensemble led by Piotr Steczek, a Polish composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist who graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Music Conservatory in Katowice. Steczek is also a violinist with the Aukso Chamber Orchestra in Tychy. The quartet is known for blending classical string quartet instrumentation with rich, modern arrangements and collaborations, such as with blues-rock singer Sebastian Riedel on the album "Sebastian Riedel & Piotr Steczek Kwartet Radio Sessions." Their music often showcases Steczek’s diverse influences, drawing from classical music, jazz, and ethnic sounds, enhanced by his use of both acoustic and six-string electric violins.
