The Twinkle Brothers

The Twinkle Brothers are a legendary reggae group from Falmouth, Jamaica, founded in the early 1960s by brothers Norman and Ralston Grant. Starting out by performing in local talent contests, they quickly developed a reputation for their tight harmonies and conscious lyrics. Over the decades, they’ve built an extensive catalog of roots reggae and dub, often blending militant messages with spiritual themes, always rooted in Rastafarian culture.

Their 1970s work with producer Bunny Lee and releases on their own Twinkle Music label helped cement their place in reggae history. Frontman Norman Grant later relocated to the UK, where he continued leading the band while collaborating with Polish musicians to add new flavors to their sound. Despite changes in line-up over the years, The Twinkle Brothers have remained a consistent and revered voice in roots reggae, influencing generations with tracks full of heart, wisdom, and revolutionary spirit.
