Alex Wilson
Alex Wilson is a British pianist, composer, producer, and arranger who's made quite a splash in the Latin jazz and salsa scenes. Born in 1971 and raised across several countries, Wilson kicked off his professional music career after getting a degree in electronics. He's released a bunch of solo albums blending Latin jazz and salsa styles, and he's no stranger to the spotlight, having snagged the Rising Star award at the 2001 BBC Jazz Awards.
When he's not crafting his own tunes, Wilson keeps busy with all sorts of musical projects. He's worked as a pianist and musical director for guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, composed for various organizations, and even teaches at the University of Nottingham. With performances in over 60 countries under his belt, Wilson's got a global fanbase and a knack for blending different musical traditions.
