Dakhmas

Dakhma is a Swiss extreme metal band from Zurich known for blending death and black metal with a strong influence from Persian mythology and Zoroastrian themes. Initially a solo project by Kerberos, the band evolved into a duo with the addition of drummer H.A.T.T. (Ahu Spozgar) in 2016, which enriched their creative process and sound. Their music explores crushing riffs and haunting melodies with a distinctive Middle Eastern flair, delivered through albums like *Hamkar Atonement* (2018) and *Blessings of Amurdad* (2021).

The band's name, Dakhma, references the "towers of silence" used in Zoroastrian sky burials, highlighting their spiritual and thematic interest in ancient religious concepts. Operating as part of the Helvetic Underground Committee, Dakhma has steadily garnered attention for creating a unique, atmospheric form of death metal that offers both powerful auditory impact and a deeply spiritual experience.
