Eleonora Strino

Eleonora Strino is a highly acclaimed Italian jazz guitarist known for her unique blend of creativity, sensitivity, and technical mastery. She began playing guitar as a teenager, inspired by Jim Hall's work with Bill Evans, and went on to study at the Conservatory in Naples and the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam. Strino started her professional career as the first guitar in the orchestra of Italian composer Roberto De Simone. She has collaborated with notable musicians like Greg Cohen and Joey Baron, and her compositions have earned her recognition, including a prize for best composition at the International Johnny Răducanu Jazz Festival in Romania. Her album "I Got Strings," released in 2023, features her as a bandleader alongside Greg Cohen on double bass and Joey Baron on drums.

Eleonora Strino is also recognized for her educational contributions, having released a book titled "Bebop Scales for Jazz Guitar" in 2023. Her music is characterized by its emotional depth and originality, setting her apart in the jazz scene. Strino has been featured in prominent jazz publications and has performed at numerous festivals across Europe.
