Hagop Tchaparian

**Hagop Tchaparian** is a British-Armenian producer and multidisciplinary artist whose music blends electronic experimentation with nods to his heritage. Starting out as a guitarist in the '90s indie band Swallow, he later pivoted to solo work, film scoring, and immersive sound design. His 2022 debut solo album *Bolts* (via Four Tet’s Text Records) became a standout, weaving hypnotic beats, field recordings, and Armenian folk motifs into tracks like the shimmering “Round” and percussive “Right to Riot.”

Known for his genre-blurring remixes and collabs (see: the Four Tet rework of “Round” or Chloé Robinson’s glitchy take on “GL”), Tchaparian’s sound feels both globally curious and deeply personal. When he’s not crafting dancefloor-adjacent gems like “Treacle” or the pulsing “Kino,” he’s diving into visual art and installations—proof that his creativity thrives in every corner of the sensory world.
