Lamont Chitepo is a Zimbabwean Afropop musician currently based in the United Kingdom. Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, he comes from a family with six siblings. Lamont's interest in music began early, during his primary school years. He started his music career in the late 1990s under the moniker Tu Short, initially pursuing hip-hop with a group called Definition of Perfection. Later, he converted to Christianity and began recording gospel music, releasing albums such as "Ndiwe" in 2010 and "Invisible" in 2014. His breakout record, "Maiwe" featuring Kin, gained significant attention. Lamont has shared his music through his own record label, Mambo Music.
