Ronald Bs

Ronald Bs, also known as Ronald "BS" Villa, is a Haitian musician celebrated for his contributions to the Haitian compas music scene. Born on April 4th in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Ronald was raised in a military family and initially had aspirations for a career in law enforcement, earning his nickname "BS" (Brigadier Special) after joining the National Police of Haiti. His musical journey began early, influenced by his mother's church where he sang in the choir starting at age 12. By 18, he was playing piano, inspired and supported by Gardner Lalanne, a maestro from the band Les Loups Noirs. Ronald developed his craft playing in several konpa and zouk bands such as Feelings Stars, which evolved into Dilam, releasing their first album in 1992. Over time, Ronald Bs has established himself as a notable figure in Haitian compas music, blending traditional sounds with contemporary rhythms.

His recent work includes songs like "ILE," "Yesterday," "Tonight," and "Banm Tout," showcasing his continuous engagement with Haitian music culture and his talent as a singer and pianist. Ronald Bs remains an influential artist in the Haitian music community, known for his energetic performances and dedication to the compas genre.
