Jeremy Rose is a Sydney-based saxophonist, composer, and band leader who’s making waves in the Australian jazz scene and beyond. Born in 1984, he’s been a creative force since his early days, starting piano at six and picking up saxophone by eleven. He’s the founder of the eclectic jazz group The Vampires and the Earshift Music label, both of which have helped shape the sound of contemporary Australian jazz. Jeremy’s music is known for its adventurous spirit, blending jazz with ambient, electronic, and world influences, and he’s released over 25 albums as a leader, including recent projects like Infinity II and Resonance.
On top of his performing and recording career, Jeremy is also an academic, teaching jazz and improvisation at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. He’s earned accolades like an ARIA Award for Best Jazz Album and has collaborated with international artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel and Lionel Loueke. Whether leading ensembles like The Earshift Orchestra or pushing boundaries with his own projects, Jeremy Rose is recognized as one of Australia’s most dynamic and forward-thinking musical voices.
