Youth Code is a Los Angeles-based industrial duo formed in 2012 by Sara Taylor and Ryan George. Known for their aggressive blend of EBM (electronic body music), industrial, and hardcore punk, Youth Code has carved out a unique space in modern heavy electronic music. Their sound is intense and confrontational, pulling influence from classic industrial acts like Skinny Puppy while infusing raw punk energy and socio-political commentary.
After gaining attention with their self-titled debut in 2013, Youth Code continued to evolve with releases like Commitment to Complications (2016), which was produced by Rhys Fulber of Front Line Assembly. Over the years, they've toured extensively and collaborated with artists across the industrial and metal scenes, including HEALTH and Lingua Ignota. Their 2020 release, A Skeleton Key in the Doors of Depression, further cemented their reputation for sonic ferocity and emotional catharsis.
