Toxaemia

Toxaemia is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1989 in Motala, Östergötland. The band initially disbanded in 1991 but reunited in 2017. Their early discography includes demos like "Kaleidoscopic Lunacy" (1990) and "Buried to Rot" (1991), with a compilation titled "Buried to Rise: 1990-1991" released in 2010. After their reunion, Toxaemia released their first full-length album, "Where Paths Divide," in 2020, followed by "Rejected Souls Of Kerberus" in 2024. The current lineup includes Dennis Johansson on vocals, Stevo Bolgakoff on guitars and vocals, Rasmus Axelsson (previously) and Anton Petrovic on lead guitar, Pontus Cervin on bass, and Niklas Holmberg on drums.

Toxaemia's music journey began with a group of friends who were inspired by local gigs and decided to form a band despite having no prior musical experience. Over the years, they have undergone several lineup changes, but their dedication to death metal has remained consistent. Their early work was distributed through underground tape trading, and they have shared stages with notable bands like Entombed. Despite a hiatus, Toxaemia has continued to evolve and produce new music, maintaining their presence in the metal scene.
