Miriam Prandi

Miriam Prandi is an Italian cellist and pianist born in Mantua in 1990, who kicked off her musical journey super young—starting piano at five with her dad and picking up the cello at six. She nailed her diplomas with top honors, studying at places like the Conservatory of Mantova, International Accademia Pianistica di Imola, and Hochschule der Künste Bern under Antonio Meneses, while racking up wins like first prizes at the Vittorio Veneto and Geminiani competitions, the Muzio Clementi Prize, and the 2014 Rahn Musikpreis Zürich.

A real rising star, she's dazzled audiences across Europe and North America, debuting sensationally at the 2016 Maggio Musicale Fiorentino with Mozart's Piano Concerto and Haydn's Cello Concerto, and playing with top orchestras like the Aargau Symphony and Zurich Chamber Orchestra. Now she's launching her solo recording career with a heartfelt take on Bach's Cello Suites, out in 2026 on Fuga Libera—her playing blends freedom, elegance, and deep emotion that just pulls you in. She rocks a 1712 Giovanni Grancino cello on loan from Pro Canale Onlus.
