Alessandro Riccardi is an accomplished Italian pianist and dedicated educator known for his thoughtful interpretations of classical repertoire. Currently, he holds a professorship in piano at the "Antonio Scontrino" State Conservatory of Music in Trapani, Italy. Riccardi has also taught at Ball State University in Indiana and the State Conservatory of Music in Vibo Valentia, Italy, and has given masterclasses internationally, including in Mexico. His repertoire often features Romantic and early 20th-century composers, with notable recent recordings such as "Malipiero: Piano Works," "Liszt: Pèlerinage en Italie," and "Scriabin: The Early Piano Works," reflecting his deep engagement with Italian and Russian piano literature.
Riccardi’s musical journey began with inspiration from his mother, a singer, which led him to pursue the piano passionately. A pivotal moment came after attending a Krystian Zimerman recital in Florence, which motivated him to become a concert pianist. He has produced professional recordings and performed live recitals broadcast on Italian radio, building a reputation for refined and poetic performances. Whether in the concert hall or classroom, Riccardi combines artistic excellence with a commitment to nurturing new generations of pianists.
