The Arusha Accord

**The Arusha Accord** are a British progressive metal band hailing from Wokingham, England, known for their razor-sharp riffs, intricate rhythms, and a knack for blending aggression with melody. Formed in 2003, the group carved a niche in the mathcore and djent scenes with their dual vocal attack (courtesy of Paul Green and Alex Harris) and technical guitar work from James Clayton and Tom Hollings. Their 2007 debut EP, *Nightmares of the Ocean*, and 2009’s ambitious concept album *The Echo Verses* showcased their restless creativity, but the band went on hiatus in 2012, leaving fans craving more.

A surprise reunion in 2020 reignited their legacy, marked by the release of the thunderous single *Juracan* and expanded editions of *The Echo Verses* (including instrumental and deluxe versions). Renowned for their cinematic storytelling and head-spinning time signatures, The Arusha Accord remain cult favorites for prog-metal enthusiasts who dig their mix of cerebral themes and unrelenting energy. Still, their sporadic output keeps followers guessing—because predictability was never their thing.
