Eduard Stan is a celebrated Romanian-born pianist who gained international acclaim after moving to Germany at the age of eleven in 1978. He studied under renowned teachers such as Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and later graduated from the Academy of Music and Drama in Hanover. Stan is known for his diverse repertoire, which includes works by Schubert, Chopin, and Enescu. Notably, he partnered with violinist Remus Azoitei to record George Enescu’s complete violin and piano repertoire, released on Hanssler Classics in 2007.
Stan's performances and recordings showcase his mastery over a wide range of compositions, from the classical sonatas of Schubert to the intricate and expressive works of Liszt, Faure, Ravel, and Debussy.
