Angels & Agony are a Dutch futurepop band that have established themselves within the electronic body music (EBM) and synthpop scenes. Composed of lead vocalist Reinier Kahle, programmer and keyboardist Erik Wierenga, guitarist Fried Bruggink, and Marco van Belle on synthesizer, the group came together in the late 1990s. They have distinguished themselves with their melodic blend of electronic synths, stirring beats, and deep, thought-provoking lyrics.

With the release of their debut album "Eternity" in 2001, they quickly gained momentum in the European electronic music scene. Following up with albums such as "Avatar" (2002) and "Salvation" (2003), they continued to refine their sound. "Forward," which came out in 2004, demonstrated a clear evolution in their style and production values. Their 2007 release "Unison" and its Limited Edition version marked a high point in their career, showcasing a matured sound with intricate compositions that resonated well with fans. The album "Monument," released in 2014, represents their most recent work, further solidifying Angels & Agony's reputation as a band capable of delivering powerful messages through lush electronic soundscapes and consistently invigorating performances.
