Willie DeVille, born William Borsay, was an American singer-songwriter known for his distinctive blend of rock, R&B, and Latin music. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, DeVille began his career in the 1970s as the frontman of the band Mink DeVille. The band released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Cabretta" and "Return to Magenta," before disbanding in the early 1980s. DeVille continued his solo career, releasing a string of successful albums throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He was known for his passionate live performances and his eclectic musical style, which drew inspiration from a wide range of genres. DeVille passed away in 2009 at the age of 58.
