German Chamber Academy Neuss

The **Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss am Rhein**, also known as the German Chamber Academy Neuss, is a renowned chamber orchestra based in Neuss, Germany. Founded in 1978 by cellist and conductor Johannes Goritzki, the ensemble specializes in performing lesser-known works from the Baroque and Classical periods, as well as newly commissioned pieces. Their repertoire includes a wide range of compositions, such as Michael Haydn's Requiem, Robert Volkmann's Serenades, and Bach's Mass in B minor. The orchestra's current artistic director is Dutch violinist Isabelle van Keulen, and their chief conductor is Christoph Koncz. They have released numerous albums, often on the CPO label, featuring diverse musical works like those of Handel, Haydn, and Lehár.

Their recent releases reflect their dedication to exploring both obscure and well-known classical music, including symphonies by Michael Haydn, piano concertos by Handel, and operetta overtures by Lehár. The ensemble's commitment to musical diversity and excellence has established them as a significant presence in the classical music scene.
