Jordfäst is a Swedish black metal band formed by longtime friends Olof and Elis, who first connected in the early 2000s in the forests of Småland, Sweden. Though their musical partnership began with simple, punk-inspired jams, they officially became Jordfäst around 2017 in Skåne and quickly developed a distinctive sound that blends melodic and atmospheric black metal with elements of Scandinavian folk and traditional heavy metal. Their music explores dark themes like desperation, tragedy, and existential reflection, often drawing on Swedish history and mythology for lyrical inspiration.
