Oh Hiroshima

Oh Hiroshima is a Swedish post-rock band that has carved out a niche in the atmospheric and emotive music landscape. Formed in Kristinehamn in 2006 by childhood friends Jakob Hemström and Oskar Nilsson, the band has since expanded to include bassist Simon Axelsson and drummer Oscar Ryden. Their music is characterized by ethereal soundscapes, haunting melodies, and a blend of calm and crescendo that conveys a range of deep emotions without the need for words.

The band's discography reflects a persistent evolution in their sound and approach to composition. Their 2011 debut, "Resistance is futile," set the stage for their immersive sound, which they further refined with 2015's "In Silence We Yearn" and 2019's critically acclaimed "Oscillation." Oh Hiroshima's ambient textures and post-rock dynamism have captivated listeners worldwide, allowing them to create a strong following and leaving lasting impressions with their poignant and compelling musical narratives. Their more recent releases, such as "Myriad" and "Ascension," continue to embody the band's commitment to exploring the depths of instrumental music, expanding their emotional spectrum, and pushing the boundaries of their genre.
