No Escape is a notable hardcore band that originated in 1989 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, founded by Tim Singer and Steve Crudello, both New Jersey natives. The band’s conception started as an idea to blend creativity and high energy, inspired by bands like Absolution and Youth of Today, with a dose of heavy riffs. The lineup solidified in Ocean City, New Jersey, with Chris Brisiel on drums and Ben Lerman on bass, and shortly after Tim Singer joined, the band quickly became active. They made their mark with a 1990 demo, a split release with Turning Point, and their 1995 LP *Just Accept It* on Overkill Records. Their song "Silenced," recorded just 17 days after forming, remains a fan favorite and a powerful introduction to their aggressive hardcore style. After disbanding in the early '90s to pursue other projects, they briefly reunited in 2021 to release the six-song *Selective Punches* EP. In 2024, Revelation Records released *No Escape: 1990-1993*, a comprehensive collection of their studio work from their original era, remixed and remastered to capture the intensity and raw emotion of their early years.
