GANNA, whose full name is Ganna Gryniva, is a Ukrainian jazz singer and composer based in Berlin. Born on July 4, 1989, she grew up in Ukraine and later moved to Germany with her family. Gryniva's musical journey began in a classical environment, with her mother being a pianist, but she eventually found her passion in jazz. She studied singing at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar and holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Leipzig. In 2014, she founded the GANNA Ensemble, an ethno-jazz quintet that blends Ukrainian folk music with modern jazz. Her recent solo album, "Kupala," released in 2023, combines Ukrainian folklore with electronic elements, showcasing her unique blend of cultural heritage and contemporary music styles.
