Bernard Minet

Bernard Minet is a French musician and singer, best known for his work on theme songs for various popular anime series during the 1980s and 1990s. Born on December 28, 1953, in Hénin-Beaumont, France, Minet found fame as part of the musical group Les Musclés as their drummer. However, it was his solo career, where he performed and recorded numerous tracks for animated TV series, which solidified his place in the hearts of French youngsters and fans of Japanese anime.

Minet's voice quickly became synonymous with animated adventures as he performed iconic theme songs such as "Les chevaliers du Zodiaque" (Saint Seiya), "Bioman", "Juliette je t'aime" (Maison Ikkoku), and "Nicky Larson" (City Hunter), embedding his energetic sound into the fabric of French pop culture. Throughout the years, he has released a multitude of albums with these beloved themes, including "L'essentiel," which features some of his greatest hits, and "Les Plus Belles Chansons De Bernard Minet," showcasing his impact on the genre. With a career spanning several decades, Bernard Minet has indelibly marked the intersection of music and animation, delivering a dose of nostalgia for generations of fans through his most recent releases such as "Metal Band" and "Tous Bleus," as well as revisiting his roots with "Bernard Minet EP5 2324."
