Jess Hitchcock

Jess Hitchcock is a Melbourne-based Indigenous singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice and genre-defying musical style that spans pop, country, folk, opera, and music theatre. With heritage from the Torres Strait Islands and Papua New Guinea, Jess brings a unique storytelling prowess to her dramatic and playful songs. She has collaborated with notable Australian artists like Paul Kelly—performing his song "Everyday My Mother's Voice" to standing ovations—Archie Roach, Tina Arena, and Kate Miller-Heidke. Her 2023 album *Unbreakable* reached #4 on the AIR charts, and her single "I Don’t Have the Heart" was praised as “an arena sized pop ballad” by *The Music*.
