Emmure

Emmure is an American metalcore band known for their aggressive music and confrontational lyrics, characterized by a blend of brutal riffs, breakdowns, and harsh, guttural vocals. Formed in 2003 in New Fairfield, Connecticut, the band's founding members were vocalist Frankie Palmeri and bassist Joe Lionetti, who were later joined by guitarist Jesse Ketive and drummer Mark Davis. Their growth in the hardcore scene was fueled by relentless touring and a series of albums that resonated with fans of the genre.

The band's discography navigates through the dark corridors of human conflict, pain, and retaliation, with records like "Speaker of the Dead," "Eternal Enemies," and "Look at Yourself" acting as milestones in their career. Throughout their evolution, Emmure encountered numerous lineup changes, with frontman Palmeri being the only consistent member. In 2017, the release of "Look at Yourself" marked a new era for the band, featuring a refreshed lineup and a sharpened sonic assault. With their latest releases like "Hindsight" and blunt tracks such as "Pigs Ear" and "Sons of Medusa," Emmure continues to assert their dominance within the metalcore scene, unapologetically wearing their influences on their sleeves and delivering music that pushes the boundaries of heaviness and lyrical introspection.
