Paul Freeman

Paul Freeman is a conductor and music director who has dedicated his career to promoting the works of Black composers. He is the founder and artistic director of the Black Music Repertory Ensemble, which has performed and recorded numerous works by Black composers, including many that had been previously neglected or forgotten. Freeman's work has helped to bring these composers and their music to a wider audience, and he has been recognized for his contributions with numerous awards, including the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award and the NAACP Image Award.
