Traffic was a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1967. The band's core lineup consisted of Steve Winwood (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jim Capaldi (vocals, drums, percussion), Chris Wood (saxophone, flute, keyboards), and Dave Mason (guitar, vocals). Traffic's music was characterized by its eclectic mix of rock, blues, jazz, and folk influences, and the band is considered one of the pioneers of the psychedelic rock genre.
Traffic released their debut album, "Mr. Fantasy," in 1967, and the album was a critical and commercial success. The band followed up with a string of successful albums, including "Traffic" (1968), "Last Exit" (1969), and "John Barleycorn Must Die" (1970). Traffic disbanded in 1974, but the band has reunited several times over the years.
