H1Z1

H1Z1 is a Milwaukee-based nu-metal band known for blending early 2000s nu-metal, thrash, groove, and rap influences to create a high-energy sound. The band was formed in 2010 and features Marq Pointer on lead vocals, Patrick Gunderson on guitar, Jake Fromkin on drums, and Leaf Wruk on bass. Since their formation, H1Z1 has undergone several lineup changes and performed live at notable venues in Wisconsin, including Madison's High Noon Saloon and Milwaukee's X-Ray Arcade. The band has shared the stage with prominent metal acts such as Jinjer and Soulfly. H1Z1 began recording music in 2015 and released their debut full-length project, "Unbounded," in 2017. Recently, they have focused on releasing singles, starting with "haRd" in 2023.
