Kleiton & Kledir are a storied pair in the fabric of Brazilian popular music, having carved their own niche in the MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) scene with a blend of folk, pop, and rock influences enriched by regional sounds from their native Rio Grande do Sul. Brothers in life and in music, Kleiton Ramil and Kledir Ramil began their artistic journey in the 1970s with the band "Almôndegas". After the group disbanded in the late 1970s, the duo continued as a pair, releasing their eponymous debut album in 1980.
