Malik Faquir

Malik Faquir is an electronic music producer, DJ, and remixer originally from Maputo, Mozambique, who now calls the international stage home. He’s best known for his immersive deep house and minimal techno, blending hypnotic beats with soulful, exotic elements that transport listeners on a sonic journey. Faquir’s tracks—such as those found on his “Profound EP”—often reflect deep personal inspiration, from the rhythmic traditions of Mozambique, like Marrabenta, to heartfelt tributes to family and playful nods to youthful romance.

Not just a musician, Malik is also the founder and curator of the underground label Sala Estimulante, cultivating a sub-movement within the K7s collective and sharing his unique sound with the global underground scene. With releases across respected labels and performances at major events, he’s become a recognized voice in electronic music, celebrated for his mastery of sound design and dedication to musical storytelling.
