Motörhead

Motörhead was a seminal English rock band formed in June 1975 by bassist, singer, and songwriter Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister. Renowned for their heavy blend of rock 'n' roll, speed, and punk music, their aggressive sound was a profound influence on the emergence of heavy metal and later subgenres. Pioneers in their field, Motörhead's ferocity on stage and in the studio carved out a legacy that spanned four decades, amassing a dedicated cult following and influencing countless other bands in their wake.

Lemmy remained the consistent heart and soul of the band until his passing in 2015, flanked by various line-ups that at different times included guitarists Larry Wallis, "Fast" Eddie Clarke, Phil "Wizzo" Campbell, and drummers Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor and Mikkey Dee among others. Motörhead's discography is extensive, with iconic albums such as "Overkill," "Bomber," and the universally celebrated "Ace of Spades," the title track of which has become an anthem in rock music. Their live performances were renowned for their raw power and intensity, elements captured in live recordings like "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith." The group disbanded following Lemmy's death, leaving behind a massive influence and a catalogue that continues to resonate with rock and metal enthusiasts around the world.
