Veracocha

Veracocha is a trance music project that became notable in the late 1990s, comprising Dutch producers Vincent de Moor and Ferry Corsten. The name "Veracocha" was inspired by the ancient Inca creator deity Viracocha, symbolizing the depth and mystique the duo aimed to bring to the trance scene. Their work together captured the essence of the golden era of trance, a period marked by lush melodies, driving rhythms, and an ethereal atmosphere that could lift dance floors to euphoria.

The project's most iconic track, "Carte Blanche," originally released in 1999, became an instant classic in the trance genre, celebrated for its captivating lead riff and emotional energy. It has been continuously remixed and re-released over the years, showing the timelessness of Veracocha's musical creation. The track's legacy has endured with recent remixes by artists such as Ilan Bluestone and KhoMha, infusing the masterpiece with a modern production twist. Although Veracocha was a short-lived project and they released only a handful of tracks, including "Drafting" and the revisited versions of "Carte Blanche" such as the 2008 Mixes, their impact on the trance music scene has been long-lasting, cementing both de Moor's and Corsten's reputations as influential architects of the genre's classic sound.
