The Soundtrack Of Our Lives

The Soundtrack of Our Lives was a Swedish rock band formed in Gothenburg in 1995. Known for their psychedelic-tinged alternative rock, the group was founded by members of the defunct band Union Carbide Productions, including frontman Ebbot Lundberg. Their sound drew heavily from '60s and '70s rock influences—think The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Pink Floyd—but with a distinct modern edge and knack for big, anthemic melodies.

The band gained international attention with their 2001 album Behind the Music, which included the single “Sister Surround” and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album. They developed a strong cult following, especially in Europe and the U.S., and were known for their energetic live performances. After a string of respected releases and nearly two decades together, The Soundtrack of Our Lives disbanded in 2012, wrapping up their career with the fittingly titled album Throw It to the Universe.
