Evgeny Svetlanov

Evgeny Svetlanov was one of Russia's most revered conductors and a passionate champion of Russian classical music. Born in 1928, he rose to prominence in the mid-20th century and became known for his richly expressive interpretations, especially of works by composers like Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Glazunov.
