Title Tracks

**Title Tracks** is the brainchild of Washington, D.C.-based musician John Davis, best known as the former drummer of post-punk band Q and Not U. After that band’s 2005 breakup, Davis shifted focus to songwriting and fronting his own projects, channeling punchy power-pop and jangly indie rock vibes. His debut album as Title Tracks, *It Was Easy* (2010), blended sharp hooks with wistful lyrics, followed by the equally catchy *In Blank* (2012). Tracks like “Long Dream” and the stripped-down charm of his releases showcase Davis’ knack for marrying retro influences (think Big Star or The Jam) with a DIY edge. When he’s not crafting earworms for Title Tracks, Davis stays busy with production work and other collaborations, keeping D.C.’s indie scene buzzing.
